Bähr Anlagenbau took on the electrical installation of the first onshore terminal for LNG (liquefied natural gas) in Lower Saxony. Our Bähr team completed this project in just nine weeks, which highlights the very short construction and implementation period . Our services included the delivery and installation of cable routing systems, cables and wires, equipotential bonding, as well as transformer and switch cabinet installations. With a team of 40 employees, a total of 37 kilometers of cable were laid, 48 switch cabinets were installed, and 2,200 cable connections were made. The project also included the installation of 1,200 meters of cable support systems and 120 kilograms of substructures. The challenge of this project lay not only in the complexity and scope of the technical installations, but also in the need to complete these tasks within an extremely tight time frame. This required precise planning, efficient processes, and excellent coordination of all trades involved. The terminal will make a decisive contribution to the energy transition and strengthen independence from individual energy sources.
