Bähr Anlagenbau was responsible for the electrical installation work on the first LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) landing terminal in Lower Saxony. Our Bähr team completed this project in just nine weeks, highlighting the extremely short construction and implementation timeframe. Our services included the supply and installation of cable management systems, cables and wiring, equipotential bonding, as well as transformer and switchgear installations. With a team of 40 employees, a total of 37 kilometres of cable were laid, 48 switchboards installed and 2,200 cable connections made. The project also involved the installation of 1,200 metres of cable support systems and 120 kilograms of substructures. The challenge of this project lay not only in the complexity and scale of the technical installations, but also in the need to complete these tasks within an extremely tight timeframe. This required precise planning, efficient processes and excellent coordination of all trades involved. The terminal will make a decisive contribution to the energy transition and strengthen independence from individual energy sources.
